About Our Tutor

Background

Hannah Jones is a dedicated educator passionate about transforming how students comprehend and engage with mathematics. She firmly believes that every student, regardless of age or ability, can achieve academic success while building the resilience and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges and overcome personal barriers.

A lifelong learner, Hannah attributes her comfort in academic settings to her nine years as a homeschooled student. Before founding Learning to the Nth Degree, she taught in both public and private high schools for three years, guiding students from sixth through twelfth grade through rigorous coursework. Her teaching experience extends back to her time as a peer tutor in high school and college. As a dual-enrollment student, she completed advanced mathematics courses, including the calculus series and differential equations, before graduating high school. During this period, she spent extensive time tutoring peers and supporting students with learning differences at her campus mathematics center. Hannah holds an interdisciplinary degree in computer science and mathematics from Liberty University.

After the birth of her first child, Hannah transitioned from the traditional classroom to teaching homeschool families and providing private math tutoring. She is now focused on instilling a lifelong love of learning in her own children, believing it is the key to opening future opportunities.

Let's Work Together!

Hannah recognizes that no two learners are the same. She tailors her instruction to fit each student’s unique learning style, pacing, and goals. Her primary objective is to nurture critical thinking and creativity, ensuring students grasp mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. In her sessions, mistakes are viewed as essential opportunities for growth. Whether your student is catching up, preparing for standardized tests, managing a learning difference, or seeking enrichment, Hannah helps them reach their highest potential.

Specializations

Hannah enjoys tutoring students in middle school and beyond! Her focus is on mathematical foundations, algebra, trigonometry and calculus. However, she also enjoys dabbling in the physical sciences too!
